Not for sale LG CLOiD
LG CLOiD is a home humanoid robot from LG Electronics, first shown at CES 2026. It pairs a head unit and two 7-DoF arms with five-finger hands on a wheeled base. It is built to do chores like laundry and fetching food. LG has not announced a price or consumer release date.

What is LG CLOiD?
CLOiD is the centrepiece of LG's "Zero Labor Home" vision, in which appliances and a home robot take over routine chores. LG presented it at CES 2026 in Las Vegas with a live demo of kitchen and laundry tasks.
Physically it is a wheeled humanoid: a head, a torso with two articulated arms, and a mobile base whose autonomous navigation comes from LG's robot-vacuum and Q9 home-hub work. The torso tilts to change height, so CLOiD can reach from roughly knee level upward. LG says the wheeled base and low center of gravity were chosen for stability around children and pets.
The head works as a mobile AI hub. It holds the chipset, display, speaker, cameras and sensors, and runs voice-based generative AI. CLOiD links to LG ThinQ and the ThinQ ON hub so it can coordinate with LG appliances.

What CLOiD can do
At CES 2026 LG showed CLOiD taking milk from the fridge, putting a croissant in the oven, starting a laundry cycle, and folding and stacking clothes after drying. LG says it can also recognise household members, adapt its speech and expressions, and learn daily routines to offer help.
Its manipulation relies on LG's own Vision Language Action model, trained on household-task data, and on seven-DoF arms with five-finger hands. The actuators are part of LG's AXIUM actuator line, launched at the same show.
Timeline: CES demo to LG's Data Factory
- 4–9 Jan 2026: LG announces CLOiD and demonstrates it at CES 2026 (booth #15004, LVCC).
- Jul 2026: LG sets up a Robotics Business Center.
- 13 Aug 2026: LG Group signs a robotics MOU with NVIDIA.
- 18 Aug 2026: LG says CLOiD is deployed at scale in its new Data Factory at the Yangjae R&D Campus. It collects cleaning and manufacturing data towards a target of 100,000 hours by the end of 2026, and the facility is due to be fully operational by year-end.
LG has not announced a consumer price, launch date or sales regions.
How CLOiD compares
- vs 1X NEO: both target household chores. NEO is bipedal with a vendor-stated price (about US $20,000) and a consumer pre-order, per our NEO page. CLOiD is wheeled, backed by a major appliance maker's ecosystem, and has no announced price.
- vs Sunday Memo: the closest match, a wheeled home robot with a height-changing torso focused on kitchen and laundry. Sunday publishes a full spec sheet and a 2026 beta. LG has published arm and hand specs only.
- vs Galbot G1: similar wheeled dual-arm layout, but G1 is aimed at retail and industrial picking rather than homes.
LG CLOiD FAQ
- When will LG CLOiD be released, and how much will it cost?
- LG has not announced a release date or price. As of August 2026, LG describes CLOiD being deployed at scale inside its own robot Data Factory to collect training data.
- What can LG CLOiD do?
- In LG's CES 2026 demo, CLOiD took milk from the fridge, put a croissant in the oven, started the laundry, and folded and stacked clothes. It also connects to LG ThinQ appliances.
- Does LG CLOiD walk?
- No. CLOiD rolls on a wheeled base with autonomous navigation. LG chose it for stability, and the low center of gravity reduces tip-over risk around children and pets.
- How many fingers and joints does CLOiD have?
- Each arm has seven degrees of freedom, and each hand has five independently actuated fingers. LG has not published full-body DoF, height or weight.
