Humanoid robots in 2026 are no longer only demos. A smaller set now shows documented deployments, named partners, public prices, or clear pre-order channels. Many others remain announcements and roadmaps.
This page is an evidence shortlist, not a trophy ranking. We do not sell rankings or paid “#1” placements. Order below is editorial navigation by checkable public evidence — not a claim that one robot is “best.”
Criteria detail: methodology.
We shortlist by five criteria — status · paid deployments · third-party record · price transparency · availability — the same buckets as our methodology. This is not a sold #1 ranking.
How we shortlisted (criteria)
We look for signals a careful reader can verify:
- Status clarity — field operation, pilot, limited production, pre-order, or mainly announced
- Deployments — named sites, customers, use cases, duration where disclosed
- Third-party record — customer/partner statements beyond the vendor blog
- Price transparency — list prices, RaaS framing, or honest absence of a public price
- Availability — whether a buyer can order, contract, or join a waitlist today
Field evidence and announced next generations are different. Historical generations stay separate from the current model. Unverified specs: —. No invented Evidence Scores here.
The 2026 evidence shortlist
1. Digit — Agility Robotics
Status: Commercial logistics deployments (field generation commonly called Digit 4); Digit 5 announced.
Agility reports Digit entered regular GXO operations on 5 June 2024 under a multi-year agreement after a late-2023 pilot — an early formal commercial / RaaS humanoid deployment (Agility). In November 2025 it said Digit had moved more than 100,000 totes at GXO Flowery Branch (Agility). In September 2026 it said Digit 4 had logged more than 65,000 operational hours across sites including GXO, Schaeffler, Amazon, and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (Digit 5 announcement).
Digit 4 field evidence ≠ Digit 5 announced. Digit 4 holds the multi-year tote and customer-site record. Digit 5 (15 September 2026) adds a redesigned safety architecture, higher claimed payload/reach, and a faster charge cycle; early access is expected in H1 2027. Treat Digit 5 specs and order-book claims as announced / contracted, not as matching Digit 4’s field duration.
Price / availability: Enterprise / RaaS contracts; not an open retail SKU. Public per-unit list price: —.
2. Figure 03 — Figure AI
Status: Customer project at BMW Plant Spartanburg (logistics sequencing), following a completed Figure 02 body-shop pilot.
BMW Group states Figure 02 supported production of more than 30,000 BMW X3 vehicles over about ten months in the body shop, and that Figure 03 is moving into logistics sequencing at Spartanburg (BMW Group, 25 June 2026). Figure describes Figure 03 in Hall 52 sorting parts with Helix 02 loco-manipulation (Figure).
Figure 02 history ≠ Figure 03 current. Figure 02’s BMW body-shop record is historical evidence for that generation. Figure 03 is the current stack in a different workflow — do not assign Figure 02 hours to Figure 03.
Price / availability: Enterprise partnership; public consumer list price: —.
3. Atlas — Boston Dynamics
Status: Production-intent electric Atlas unveiled for industrial customers; 2026 fleets described as committed.
At CES 2026 Boston Dynamics said it would begin manufacturing the product Atlas, with 2026 fleets scheduled for Hyundai’s RMAC and Google DeepMind, and more customers planned for early 2027 (Boston Dynamics). That post cites industrial specs (e.g. 56 DOF, up to 50 kg lift) but no public retail price.
Price / availability: Enterprise allocation; public list price: —. Not a walk-up purchase in 2026.
4. Unitree G1 — Unitree
Status: Publicly listed research / developer humanoid with transparent starting price.
Unitree lists the G1 from US $13,500 (tax/shipping excluded): ~35 kg, ~1.32 m, 23–43 joint DOF by config, depth camera + 3D LiDAR, ~2 h battery (Unitree G1). EDU/hand options change capability and SDK access.
Price / availability: Among the clearest public prices here. Strong for labs; industrial fleet evidence is thinner than Digit’s or BMW’s published programs.
5. Walker S2 — UBTECH
Status: Industrial humanoid in mass-production / delivery phase per company statements; named factory and logistics pilots reported.
UBTECH positions Walker S2 around autonomous battery swapping and publishes an industrial product page (Walker S2). A November 2025 release said mass production and delivery had begun; order and capacity figures there are vendor-reported, not independently audited (PR Newswire). 2026 European logistics coverage (e.g. Rossmann) often distinguishes distributor orders from a single confirmed on-site pilot unit — partnership news ≠ scaled fleets.
Price / availability: Enterprise / partner channel; consumer list price: —.
6. Apollo (Apptronik) — brief mention only
Apptronik’s Apollo appears in automotive pilot coverage (including Mercedes-Benz work reported in 2025). Here it is Research / prototype only — brief context, not a scored product push.
7. NEO — 1X
Status: Consumer-oriented humanoid with public pre-order channel; first U.S. deliveries framed for 2026.
1X launched NEO in October 2025: Early Access $20,000 or $499/month, U.S. deliveries targeted for 2026 and other markets from 2027 (1X, order). Unusual price transparency for a home humanoid. Large-scale third-party delivery evidence was still thin in mid-2026 reporting — treat early ownership claims carefully.
Price / availability: Public pre-order / subscription. Home chore autonomy remains a claim to test against real households.
8. Unitree R1 — Unitree
Status: Lower-cost public humanoid SKU for education and entry development.
Unitree lists R1 from US $4,900 (R1 Air) and $5,900 standard: ~27–29 kg, ≤123 cm; EDU unlocks secondary development (Unitree R1; shop).
Price / availability: High transparency; modest capability vs industrial platforms. Cost/access baseline — not Digit-class logistics evidence.
9. Optimus — Tesla
Status: High-visibility internal / production-ramp program; external customer availability still limited in public materials.
Tesla’s 2026 public materials describe Optimus moving toward mass-production designs and factory lines, with ambitious capacity language. Audited third-party commercial deployments and a public buy page like Unitree or 1X remain scarce. We keep Optimus for market importance but label volume/timeline claims as company roadmap, not field throughput.
Price / availability: No stable public checkout like G1/R1 or NEO. Specs / unit economics: — until Tesla publishes a stable list.
10. U1 — UBTECH (UWORLD)
Status: Consumer “ultra-bionic” companion line launched for mass production positioning in 2026.
UBTECH unveiled UWORLD U1 (Lite / Pro / Ultra) on 30 June 2026 from 119,800 RMB, with company-reported orders above 13,000 at launch (PR Newswire). Positioning is companionship and service — a different evidence category from tote logistics. Company order counts ≠ independently verified household deployments.
Price / availability: Published starting price in RMB; regional availability and delivery timelines should be checked on official channels.

Quick compare chips
Use these side-by-side pages when you need contrasts rather than a single hero pick:
- Unitree G1 vs Digit — price-transparent research platform vs logistics field record
- Figure 03 vs Atlas — BMW-linked current project vs Boston Dynamics / Hyundai industrial path
- NEO vs Unitree G1 — home pre-order humanoid vs developer SKU
- Optimus vs Iron — high-visibility OEM programs with limited public buy surfaces
What this shortlist is not
- Not a “top 10 best humanoids” trophy board
- Not a sold ranking or sponsored order
- Not a promise that announced payloads, runtimes, or 2027 dates will match field results
- Not buy/lease advice without a site survey, safety review, and primary-source check
Vendor-only video gets less weight than independent customer statements (e.g. BMW, GXO).
FAQ
Do you sell rankings or paid #1 placements?
No. We do not sell rankings. This is an evidence shortlist ordered for reading clarity. Other site relationships do not rewrite methodology.
Why separate Digit 4 from Digit 5?
Digit 4 field evidence ≠ Digit 5 announced. Digit 4 carries the multi-year GXO and multi-customer record. Digit 5 is a September 2026 architecture with early access expected in 2027. Mixing them credits the next generation with the prior one’s hours.
Why separate Figure 02 from Figure 03?
Figure 02 history ≠ Figure 03 current. BMW’s Figure 02 body-shop pilot (more than 30,000 X3 vehicles over ~ten months) is historical evidence. Figure 03 is a successor in logistics sequencing. Do not credit Figure 03 with Figure 02’s hours.
Which can a lab or company obtain in 2026?
Channel-dependent. Unitree G1/R1 and 1X NEO publish buy/pre-order paths. Digit, Figure, Atlas, Walker S2, and Optimus are mainly enterprise, partner, or roadmap channels. Confirm lead times, export rules, and safety certification locally.
Which humanoids can you buy in 2026?
Only models with a public commercial path (list price, RaaS, or pre-order). Partner-gated pilots are not catalog buys — check Status on each /robots/{slug}/.
Which have named real-world deployments?
Prefer platforms with paid facility hours or named partner sites (for example warehouse and factory logistics). Announced next-gens do not count as today’s fleet.
Is Optimus for sale?
No. Optimus remains Research on our page — not a consumer or catalog purchase.
Why isn’t this on /best/?
/best/ is for use-case shortlists with enough independent evidence. This article is an evidence overview across makers, not a trophy rank.
