Lead strip: Status: Pilot (BMW Spartanburg sequencing) + vendor scale narrative · Availability: enterprise partnership; consumer list price — · All-in cues: $675M Series B (2024) confirmed; CapEx/RaaS terms — · Primary: /robots/figure-03/ · Scoring: methodology
Evidence brief only — not a sold ranking. A commercialization round is capital intent; BMW partner statements and BotQ claims are separate evidence classes. Figure 02 history ≠ Figure 03 current.
In February 2024, Figure AI announced a $675 million Series B at a $2.6 billion valuation explicitly framed to accelerate commercial deployment of general-purpose humanoids. Nearly two years later, the useful buyer question is not “how big was the round,” but what checkable commercialization evidence exists now — and what still lacks a public buy surface. Product home: Figure 03.
Figure’s 29 February 2024 release states it raised $675M at a $2.6B valuation with investments from Microsoft, OpenAI Startup Fund, NVIDIA, Jeff Bezos (Bezos Expeditions), Parkway Venture Capital, Intel Capital, Align Ventures, and ARK Invest. Use of proceeds: scaling AI training, robot manufacturing, engineering headcount, and advancing commercial deployment (PR Newswire / Figure; Reuters).
The same package announced:
Trade coverage summarized the round as a push to get production units into commercial use on a 2024–2025 timeframe and noted additional investor names reported around the round (including Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund in some secondary accounts) (The Robot Report).
Documented in 2024 primary materials: round size, valuation, named strategic investors, OpenAI collaboration, Azure infrastructure path, commercialization intent.
Not a 2024 receipt for 2026 buyers: consumer list price, public checkout, multi-year RaaS rate card, or Figure 03-specific fleet hours (Figure 03 did not yet exist as the current stack).
Capital bought time and scale. The evidence that matters for scoring is what partners and Figure published afterward — labeled by generation.
BMW Group’s 25 June 2026 release separates generations: after a successful Figure 02 deployment at Plant Spartanburg, successor Figure 03 starts on complex sequencing applications in logistics. BMW attributes more than 30,000 BMW X3 vehicles over ~ten months of body-shop support to Figure 02, not Figure 03 (BMW Group).
Figure’s 30 June 2026 post places Figure 03 in Hall 52 on a sequencing workflow under Helix 02 (Figure: F.03 at BMW).
Rule: Figure 02 history ≠ Figure 03 current. Do not assign Figure 02’s vehicle counts or body-shop tenure to Figure 03 when reading the $675M “commercialization” story forward.
Figure’s 29 April 2026 BotQ post claims 350+ third-generation robots delivered and a move from 1 robot/day to 1/hour (~24×) in under 120 days, with detailed yield and test-station figures (Figure: Ramping Figure 03 Production). That is vendor manufacturing evidence — useful continuity after a large raise, not automatically multi-customer paid operational hours.
Helix 02 materials show long-horizon home-like demos (e.g. dishwasher loco-manipulation). Demo quality ≠ residential SKU, warranty, or consumer list price (—) (Figure: Helix 02). See also our Figure 03 home/scaling check.
Under methodology availability and price-transparency buckets:
| Check | Status after $675M → 2026 |
|---|---|
| Public consumer checkout / list price for Figure 03 | — |
| Enterprise partnership path (BMW sequencing) | Partner-stated project |
| Stable published RaaS / CapEx rate card | — |
| Figure 03 robot count on Spartanburg floor | — (do not invent) |
| Multi-site paid logistics hours like Digit’s published narrative | Thinner / different class — see Digit |
| Walk-up retail SKU | Not documented |
So: the Series B funded a commercialization push; it did not by itself create a catalog purchase. Contrast with platforms that publish developer list prices (Unitree G1, NEO pre-order) or longer logistics operational narratives (Digit). Optimus remains a different Research / IR lane without a public buy page.
Secondary reports of additional retail/logistics commercial agreements (e.g. Catalyst Brands coverage in trade press) should be verified against primary Figure or customer statements before treating them as scored deployments. Where only secondary coverage exists, mark confirmation strength carefully and keep unknown metrics as —.
| Claim type | Supports | Does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| $675M @ $2.6B (2024 PR) | Capital depth / continuity | 2026 fleet KPIs |
| OpenAI + Azure partnerships | AI stack access | Autonomous home product |
| BMW Figure 03 sequencing | Partner-stated factory project | Consumer buyability |
| BotQ 350+ / 1-per-hour (vendor) | Manufacturing scale effort | All units in paid customer ops |
| Figure 02 30k X3 body-shop | Prior-generation field history | Figure 03 tenure |
We do not convert round size into a sold “most commercialized” ranking.
Public consumer list price for Figure 03: —. Enterprise commercials are partnership-specific. Budget integration, safety case, supervision, spares, and facility redesign separately. Informal valuation headlines are not unit economics.
No. The 2024 Series B funded commercial deployment efforts. As of the BMW and Figure materials cited here, there is still no public consumer checkout or list price for Figure 03. Availability remains enterprise / partnership; consumer list —.
The Series B materials already referenced an early BMW commercial agreement. By mid-2026, BMW Group publicly describes a Figure 03 logistics sequencing project after a completed Figure 02 body-shop pilot. That partner statement is the stronger factory evidence lane — generation-labeled.
BotQ cadence and unit-count claims are vendor manufacturing evidence. They support scale capacity narrative after a large raise. They do not replace partner-stated site projects or Digit-class published operational hours, and they do not create a public price.
Digit: longer published warehouse operational narrative. Optimus: Research / IR production-ramp without a public buy page. Figure 03: BMW partner-stated sequencing pilot plus vendor scale/home demos. Capital size does not reorder those evidence classes into a trophy board.
